Hello Daydreamers! It’s Hannah. We’ve been pretty terrible at updating this page regularly but anyway, Chad has been continuing to post wonderful covers. Since the last update he’s covered Counting Crows - “Colorblind”, Nicki Minaj - “Super Bass” and Coldplay - “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall”. Mindy posted about this in the last post but I will remind you that he released an album with past covers. Also, the release of the new Backseat Goodbye EP, “Oh, How I Waste These Days” got pushed back but is supposed to be released sometime this month!

hello daydreamers! its mindy! just thought i’d check in and see how everyone’s doing. i am sorry we haven’t been keeping up with this very well!

Just wanted to make sure everyone knows that Chad Sugg just released his album of cover songs so make sure you pick it up on iTunes and play some songs for your friends…I personally think the covers are WAY better than the originals..maybe even post some of his cover videos on facebook?

Hi everyone,

We haven’t posted on here for a while so I just wanted to check in and make sure everyone is still promoting Backseat Goodbye as much as possible whether it’s in real life or on your blog (it’s ad simple as reblogging the fybg page!!)

We also wanted to propose a task to you all. As you can see, we just reblogged a lot of Chad’s recent covers..they have been getting good responses but we want even more people to watch them so I am going to ask you all to 1) make sure you reblog them and retweet/ blog and tweet about them as much as possible! People like covers, let them know about Chad’s! And 2) post atleast one on Facebook…maybe someone you’re friends with on there is a huge Mumford and Sons fan so they watch it and fall in love with the cover and then all of Chad’s music! How awesome would that be???

Also, ‘Tis the time for music festivals..if you are going to ANY please make sure you keep BG in the back of your mind..If you make some friends at the show tell them about Backseat Goodbye and write “backseat goodbye” somewhere for them when they get home! Or even go above and beyond and pass out those flyers we made!!!! :)

We really appreciate all of your help in running this street team! I am thinking about talking with Hannah and Kelsey soon and organizing a Backseat Goodbye day on tumblr (suggestion made by incrediblyhipster.tumblr.com :] ) so be on the lookout for that!

Attention Daydreamers! I made this flyer for you to take with you anywhere (school, concerts, etc.) that you want to promote BG. (I will be posting the grayscale one in the next post) You don’t have to do this but it would be greatly appreciated if you did! GK Tour is a perfect place!

All you have to do is put four on a page (it should fit) and print out some copies, cut them out, and hand them out before/after the show! all you have to say is “Listen to Backseat Goodbye!” :)

Daydreamers is back!

We are relaunching the Backseat Goodbye Street Team, Daydreamers! Under Chad’s supervision, Hannah (www.anattempttoforget.tumblr.com), Kelsey (www.underthesecolorss.tumblr.com) and myself (Mindy www.carvehearts.tumblr.com) will be taking over! We have a lot of things in store for you so we hope you are all up to helping us out!

Our first task will be to promote Backseat Goodbye at the Glamour Kills Tour if you are going! This is a simple, fun, and effective task. Who wouldn’t want to talk about their favorite band while watching some of their other favorites?! And GK is a great place to do it! There are a lot of bands going to GK tour so in between sets strike up a convo with the people around you! Just say you’re a part of the street team and talk about BG even if they don’t go home and listen at least they will know the name!

Tip #1: if you are at the GK tour, tell them that BG and The Ready Set used to tour together! Maybe even mention the picture where Jordan is wearing the Technicolor Eyes shirt! You can go the extra mile and bring the picture…? Tip #2: If you are going soon make sure you tell people there is a free download of The Good Years this week! Since people might forget, you can just write it down on little pieces of paper to hand out, nothing too fancy. It can be found on his website (www.backseatgoodbye.com) Just make it look like a informal note you’d pass to someone in class, you know?

Tip #3: Not good at starting conversations? Wear a piece of BG merch! People ALWAYS ask questions about it especially if you have the technicolor eyes shirt!

Tip #4: Be nice! Don’t force it on people! Just try to spread the word any way you can! A concert is your best audience to do it!

I’m excited to announce… This spring will bring the launch of the completely re-imagined street team for Backseat Goodbye. After previous attempts years ago to start a street team for my music, I believe I’ve finally figured out what direction to take this in order to create a successful, original take on grassroots marketing in this form. Right now I’m in the process of assembling a special group of people to help run the team, and in a matter of weeks The Daydreamers website will officially launch. This will be big, this will be fun, this will be like nothing before…
